We were recently approached with a brief requiring an outdoor platform to be constructed high above the city streets. The purpose built, high spec stage was to be situated on the mid level balcony of the recently renovated Allianz building in Market Street, Sydney. The Megadeck team was happy to take on the challenge and provided a versatile solution that met every aspect of the brief perfectly.
The brief stated that the following criteria must be met:
The outdoor stage was to be hardy and able to withstand all weather conditions
Custom sized to fit in and around the existing fixtures and fittings
Platform to be semi-permanent and able to remain outdoors indefinitely whilst modular in design and easy to pack away when required
Glass balustrades designed to meet strict specifications and engineering standards
The surface to be eco friendly but able to tolerate all outdoor weather conditions
To be finished in a specific colour scheme consisting of black framework and earthy tones.
Megadeck was proud to deliver this tailor made staging solution on time and on budget with all criteria and specifications met to the highest standard. This versatile and functional space is now fully operational and can be used for a number of purposes. These include small gatherings and meetings, corporate events and parties as well as a chill-out space for workers in the Allianz building. The ways in which this amazing high-in-sky space can be used covers a broad scope of events and activities. It makes a perfect case-study for the limitless ways customised, semi-permanent staging can be created and utilised.
