Elevate Sydney Festival
The Elevate Sydney Festival was held from January 1-6 with spectacular live entertainment designed to lift the spirits of Sydneysiders and promote Sydney to the rest of the world.
This amazing event is an NSW government initiative, designed to boost the hospitality, tourism and entertainment industries after a tough couple of years. Megadeck was excited to be able to participate by providing a viewing platform and some rolling risers. The support for these industries, the promotion of this beautiful city and our local Aussie talent are important to us.
The Cahill Freeway was closed to traffic and pedestrians to be transformed into what would have to be the world’s most stunning stage with views spanning the Sydney Harbour at Circular Quay. More than 180 Australian artists wowed the crowds with a variety of homegrown entertainment for children and adults alike. There was something for everyone with a diverse program that starred Tim Minchin, Marcia Hines, Tones & I, The Wiggles, Electric Fields and Lime Cordiale and many more.
Megadeck supplied a viewing platform with a disabled access ramp, allowing those with limited mobility to enjoy the same birds-eye view of the entertainment as the rest of the crowd. We also provided rolling risers throughout the performances to enable the quick and easy changeover of instruments between acts. Megadeck rolling risers are renowned as an industry standard.
