Girl From The North Country

Direct from the West End and Broadway Girl From The North Country has taken the theatrical world by storm.

An uplifting and joyful story of American life in 1934 Minnesota, this critically acclaimed production features the reimagined songs of Bob Dylan and stars Lisa McCune, Zahra Newman, Helen Dallimore, Peter Carroll and Terence Crawford.

Girl From The North Country is now playing at Theatre Royal Sydney until 19 March. To announce the show, a media call was issued which subsequently required a Megadeck media riser.

Media risers are sometimes simple stage platforms but often in tricky locations such as theatres. Obstacles that can not always be removed such as chairs or support structures mean that staging needs to be built over and around such items. This isn’t a problem for Megadeck stages as they are height adjustable and account for any gradient of slope in a given environment.

As theatres usually have a rake in the floor, it is with Megadeck swivel jacks that compensate for the undulation and ensure a level and sturdy platform. This is crucial for media to not only gain the sighlines they require to capture the footage they need but also to guarantee that the platform is sturdy without any shaking that could possibly blur any images or footage.
