ORCHESTRA VICTORIA

For 50 years Orchestra Victoria has partnered the nation’s finest ballet and opera companies and international artists from across the globe and toured across the state of Victoria. To celebrate this extraordinary orchestra and the music that has inspired dancers, singers and audiences for half a century the National Gallery of Victoria Great Hall hosted a gala event which was performed on a huge tiered Megadeck stage. Working within the venue parameters, a large multi-level performance riser was assembled to cater for every aspect of the showcase. Filling out the stunning room, the modular stages were efficiently built in the temporary space with special attention paid to custom elements. The bespoke stage infill sections which wrapped around the existing columns involved using a mix of existing staging units and onsite fabrication.
