Save the Date – Evolve returns to the Gold Coast 2023

Australia’s leading conference for event professionals, Evolve 2023 will return to one of the world’s fastest growing regions, the Gold Coast, for the first time since 2006 on Wednesday 7th – Thursday 8th June 2023.

Following a successful comeback conference earlier this year in Melbourne, MEA looks forward to fostering the Australian events sector’s resurgence by bringing it together at the coastal creative thinking hotspot to enable its workforce members to consolidate their professional networks at social functions, to enhance their skillsets over a one-and-a-half-day conference program and recognise outstanding performance over 2021 and 2022 as the National MEA Awards Gala Dinner makes its long-awaited return.

The Star Gold Coast will be the place to be as the events sector comes together to enhance their skillsets over a one-and-a-half-day education program, ending with the long-awaited return of the National MEA Awards Gala Dinner on the evening of the 8^th. A Welcome Reception planned for the evening of the 7^th will be held at the iconic Burleigh Pavilion, only a short bus ride from The Star.

MEA CEO Peter McDonald commented, “I’m so happy to be able to share our Evolve venue choices this side of Christmas. The Star Gold Coast’s impressive event spaces and its proximity to the region’s beaches, attractions, nightlife, and shopping district makes it a perfect location for a conference-cum-working-holiday and Awards function. To literally be ocean-side with a drink in one hand and a tasty bite in the other amidst a party atmosphere at the Burleigh Pavilion for the welcome event will be an absolutely magic experience for our delegates.”

With the real and immediate need for upskilling quickly becoming a priority across all areas of the events sector, Evolve 2023 will present a fantastic opportunity for event professionals to reconnect and for businesses to educate and develop their staff on future predictions, latest innovations, and to hear from event experts on trending topics.

Peter McDonald also commented, “I’m really excited that MEA will return to the Gold Coast for the first time in 17 years for our annual conference. Where better to begin winter than somewhere sunny, bright, fun and vibrant. With many parts of Australia having a public holiday either the preceding or following Monday, our dates bode well for a bit of a working holiday. Not many places better to do that than ‘Australia’s favourite playground’ as it’s come to be known.”

He added, “We’ll shortly be announcing venues and a major partner who has jumped on board from the outset. Details about the event and speaker program will be shared as they become confirmed. I can’t wait!”.
